§ 2-230. Recommendation as to additional revenue.
(a)
If the public service commission deems it feasible to recommend the creation of special tax districts in order to provide collection service within an area or determines that there is a need for additional funding for its purposes and determines these capital improvements should be funded by general obligation bonds or revenue bonds, the commission shall make specific and detailed recommendations to the council as to the need for the improvements, the purposes to be served and the necessity for such funding. Prior to making any such recommendation or request, the commission shall make or cause to be made any engineering or feasibility study necessary to meet bond requirements in order to aid the county council in its determination of the request.
(b)
The county council may for purposes consistent with this division authorize the issuance of revenue or general obligation bonds in the name of the county as is provided by law.
