§ 2-224. Governing body.

  • The county public service commission shall function as an advisory board to the county council and shall be composed of seven members who shall be resident electors of the county and who shall continue to serve as members of this commission for their specified terms of appointment and until a successor is appointed. In the original appointments, three shall be appointed for terms of two years and four for terms of four years. Upon the termination of the original terms, their successors shall be appointed by the county council for terms of four years, one member being nominated by each of the six council members and one at-large member. Current members of the public service commission shall continue to serve.
